Well, MY Word!!

What a week it's been! LOL!!
We spent the 4th of July with my inlaws for lunch, and my parents for dinner, with a parade in the middle. I spent this week running around like a chicken with my head cut off it seems. A friend and I opened an eBay store on Sunday(http://stores.ebay.com/A-Trading-Place ), and I've been listing a few things here and there in it. It takes TIME to list things, and time is what I'm short on it seems. Yesterday and today, I went to my hometown, about an hour drive from here, for various reasons. That's not a drive I'm used to making every day, and both days, by the time I got home, I was too pooped to party.
My house is a mess, my floors need vacuumed, my flowers need watered, my new mums need planted, and I need to make a grocery list. Ugh. At least I'll be home for a few days.
There really is no place like home. :)
Well, things have calmed down quite a bit in the children's area. My children are growing, and I need to learn to not be in such a hurry with them. I sat down yesterday in the Dr's office, and read a Dora the Explorer book to them. My son ACTUALLY paid attention. He was so enthusiastic with it, and that is something new for him. It actually kept his attention. I think now I might actually think about story hour at the library. He is interested in books, loves to tell me what the letters on the fridge are, and gets better every day paying attention.
My oldest daughter is tiny, I learned. According to the "good Dr." as my hubby calls her, L is at the 25% for both her height and weight. Which just means she is petite. Always has been. That doesn't mean I'm gonna stock her up on butter and cookies, it just means it won't hurt to give her straight juice, instead of watering it down. The sugar won't bother her like it might a heavier 4 year old. She is a princess. She tells me so. Every Day. And she's a dancer. She tells me that too. She would do well in a tumbling class, or a dance class, I think. That's something I'll have to add to my to-do list I think. I'll check into some community class or something. She's a princess. Because she says so.
My youngest, 17 months, is a velcro baby. She has static cling, and no matter how many fabric softener sheets I rub on her, she still sticks to me. We were at a birthday party today, and the hostess said she had a button on the bottom of her foot. Well, she was barefoot, so I reached down to brush what I thought was a button stuck to her foot off of it. No. That's not the case. The hostess said, "Well, put her down. You'll see that her button gets pushed." I set her down, and her mouth opened in this heart wrenching, pick me up now cry. The only time she wasn't crying, she was in a high chair eating cake. I swear that baby would crawl back inside if she could. She is THAT MUCH a mommy's girl. Well, she's just a family girl I guess. Because she loves her daddy just a skotch more than me. I know it. He comes in and her whole little body just quivers because she's so excited to see him. Her only word is "Hi" and he comes in and she will literally toddle-run her way through the house, yelling one big long "HHHHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!" until she gets to him. It's quite hilarious.

Ok. Tomorrow, DH is working, and it'll be too hot to go outside, so I'm thinking we're gonna be house cleaning.

Or maybe just reading a book with my kids. :)
