So this week FLEW by like I thought it would. It's Friday afternoon, and the kids are done with their VBS. What a week they've had! They have a hard time telling me what they did, but I know they had fun, regardless. Lots of singing of God, and lots of stories of Daniel and David and Shadrach, Meschach, and Abendago. I'm glad they went! I love for them to get to know other kids their age, and to begin to build friendships. I don't know if that's possible in a setting like VBS, but it's a start anyway, right?
J, on the other hand, did not enjoy them being gone. The first day, she just wandered around in circles, whining, not really crying, not really playing, just upset. The second day, she was a bit better. A little less whining, a little more playing. The third day, she was like "Ahhh...who cares??" :) and played normally. But, when I said, "Let's go get L + H!" She positively RAN for the door. Cutie pie!!
I even got her to sort of say their names. It doesn't really sound like their names, but it's the same sound over and over, and she's trying! One step closer to talking! :)
And then, today, on the way home from dropping them off, the poor baby puked in the van. I think she's come down with hand-foot-mouth disease, because her mommy was around another baby earlier in the week that had it, and this HFM thingy is contagious. Yippee. But then, once a baby gets it, they only get it once, and then it's over with. So, she'll have a fever and some puking for a couple days, then she'll be fine.
This baby has been ill more than the other two it seems! I wonder if it's just the fact that they are out in the world so much more than they were, and then they bring things home, and she catches it. Hmmmm
Today is grocery day. wooo hooo. And no, that's not an excited wooo hooo, it's a glum one. Grocery shopping is not exactly my favorite thing to do. I like it at first, and then, by the end of my trip, when I'm pushing around a 300 lb cart of food + stuff, I just want to get home.
DH was supposed to get a lot of overtime this time. He worked his butt off over the last two weeks, racking up over 18 hours of OT. Well, the money came in, and is fixin to go right back out. We are not enjoying this. It is very hard to raise a family of five on what he makes. That's why I'm so anxious to get BYB going, but the sales are not coming as fast as I'd like. All in His time, right? When I'm supposed to start, I'll have the moola, and I'll start. That simple. yup. it's that simple.... *drumming fingers in impatience*.... LOL!!
