Days Go By

Someone emailed me and asked if I'm ever going to get back to this blog. I know. I'm sorry. It's been almost a month since I've made an entry. But, we had some MAJOR computer problems and it's been since December 10th that I've even been able to get online. I only know that because that's how old my unopened emails were. Ugh.
Let's Summarize my last few weeks.
I held a vendor blender with my friend Richelle on December 10th. She and I did SO MUCH work on it. We had 800 fliers printed out. We had each person donate money to the cost of putting it in the paper. We even had it on the radio.
And.....
Snatch. Maybe 30 people came in the door in 5 hours. Can we all scream
UUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH
at once?
I was so upset about it. But, there was not one more thing we could've done to promote it. It's not as if we didn't do anything. We did. People just didn't come. That's the last time I try to organize something like that in this town. This was the 5th one I'd been in in 3 months, and the 5th complete bust. URGH.
K.
After that, it was time to get Christmas shopping done and wrapped. That was done in a reasonable amount of time. No biggie.
I went to the doctor the week before Christmas for a checkup on my anti-depressants. While there, I talked to her about my ongoing pain in my wrist and arm. She did an exam, pronounced it carpal tunnel (which I had already guessed) and gave me a splint. I've had the splint on for 2 weeks straight, only removing it in the shower or for Christmas baking, and still no help. So I go back today for a checkup, and she'll decide if surgery is necessary. Basically, unless the splint is on, I'm in pain. My fingers go numb, or feel like they're on fire, almost all the way up to my elbow. So I go in today to get more info on THAT.
I had a free trial to Shapes (generic Curves) for the month of December. I'm SO SAD that's over. I really loved going again. But, right now, the $30 a month is just too much. I SO NEED to do something about my weight. I'm going to bring that up to the doctor today too. Mention that I have PCOS, and obviously a weight problem, mention that I've been keeping track of my calorie intake, and it's around 1500 cals a day, and see what she has to say. A friend of mine goes to the same doc, and has the same issues, and she got some really good reactions from the doc. So we'll see.
Hmmmm.... Oh yes. Let's not forget that my children are home. They were home for Christmas break last week, and this week, when it came time to send them back to school, they're ill. Hunter went to the Doctor yesterday. She pronounced him fine. Whatever it is he has he'll shake off. He's had 3 stomach bugs in 3 weeks. Today he's fine. Tomorrow HE"S GOING BACK. :)
Jaiden went to the Doctor too. Turns out she has a double ear infection that's pretty bad, and a throat infection. She's now on an antibiotic that causes diarrea and vomiting, but it'll clear up this infection!! Urgh.
Lexie is on the couch today with a fever and headache. Tylenol every 5 hours. Hopefully she'll be back to school on Friday. (PLLLEEEASSSSE God!!!)
Ok. OHHH. Yes. I closed my eBay store. With the holidays, my children's school schedules, other activities I've picked up... I just haven't had time for it. I'll reopen it in the spring. I've got a bunch of spring clothes I'll sell come April or so. But for right now, to sell $10 in items a month and pay $15 in fees each month and not list anything new, it's just not worth it.
Ok.
Oh yeah, James got a raise yesterday. BIG hoopla. BIG drama. Too long of a story for my aching hand. But suffice it to say that in one day he got a $1 an hour raise, which will work out to about $50 a paycheck. Thanks God!!

K. Off to head check, lunch make, fight break and Ibuprofen take.
Ta-Ta!
