Hawayooyah

Yes. That's right. You read correctly. Hawayooyah. That is my Chicken Littlest's way of saying Hallelujah. It's the cutest thing. She says it over and over and over again. The girl can't say 'milk' but she can make hallelujah understandable. Go figure.
Speaking of praise, my older two have also picked up a song. My oldest, L, was in service with us one Sunday, and we sang the song "Here I am to Worship" by Sonicflood. I'll put the lyrics to this beautiful song at the end of this post. Anyway, my oldest came home singing a few lines, including "Here I am to worship, here I am to bow down, here I am to say that you're my God" and "I'll never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross". Well, she didn't have all the lyrics exactly right, but she was singing it nonetheless. So I started singing it every now and then, and now my second, H, sings along too. There is no more beautiful sound to me than to walk into my garage and here my little 4 year olds singing their hearts out, in their little unconscious ways, worshipping our Lord while they play with toys. Absolutely beautiful. Then I hear my 2 year old on the deck, saying "Hawayooyah" over and over again in a whisper (because if she sees you listening, or you ask her to say it again, she closes up tight!).

After these observations, and song offerings, it kind of makes me think I'm not doing too badly as a mom, right? Or, more correctly, that the Lord has His hands on them even when I don't expect it.

Light of the world,
You stepped down into darkness.
Opened my eyes, let me see.
Beauty that made this heart adore you
Hope of a life spent with you

And here I am to worship,
here I am to bow down,
here I am to say that you're my God
You're altogether lovely,
altogether worthy,
altogether wonderful to me.

King of all days, oh,
so highly exalted.
Glorious in heaven above.
Humbly you came
to the earth you created
All for love's sake became poor.
And here I am to worship

Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that you're my God
You're altogether lovely.
altogether worthy,
altogether wonderful to me.

I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
No, I'll never know how much it cost

Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that you're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

And here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that you're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful
wonderful wonderful
Yes you are God

I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
~~~
Blessings!
